Extruded Low Finned Tube & Rifled Low Finned Tube
Low Finned Tubes add short fin in the tube wall that greatly increase the surface area over smooth tube. The fins are formed into the tube wall so the outside diameter of the fins are not larger than the pre-finned smooth tube. Low Fin (Integral) tubing is a type of extruded tubing that consists of short low fins. The low fin tube have the advantage of adding surface area to a smooth tube while maintaining the same outside diameter. Low Fin Enhanced tubes can be used in standard shell and tube baffles and tube sheets.
Rifled Low Finned Tube has the outside diameter surface characteristics of Low-Finned Tubes with the added enhancement of inside diameter rifling. The rifling grooves promote turbulant flow and better heat transfer through the tube wall.
